[V-mail]

Dearest Honey,

Another day of quiet, marked mainly by a lecture on scouting and patrolling to a tank company. I talked for an hour on the subject, extemporaneously. Today also we got to fire a German machine gun we have acquired. It worked very well.

They say it is very cold in the States these days – 20˚below, says one of Ma’s letters. It is not that cold here, but we are beginning to get snow now. It is coming down very prettily tonite.

The Gallaghers sent me a copy of Time magazine – the small overseas edition. It will come by airmail each week and will certainly be welcome. There is so little reading material around here. I have been reduced to perusing a French novel about Henry of Navarre. It wasn’t any good. So long for now, Bunny.

I love you every minute.

Yours,
Wallace
